Language Connotations

The associated meaning of a word such as run, we then think moves fast. the emotion and thoughts we think when a word is said. these can either be positive or negative.

School Quad:

Positive

Scattered throughout the school the kids fill up the space around them, looking for any available spots. The most popular place with almost no room to spare was the quad. kids would come from all around to see the life that filled the area, the warmth that cuddled all that were near. hundreds if not more jackets covered the ground to return the favour of keeping the children warm.

Negative

Running throughout the school the kids up the space ______ them, _______ for any ________ spots. The most _______ place with _______ no room to spare was the quad. kids would come from all dark corners to see the life that stole the area, the cold that suficated all that were near. hundreds if not more jackets drenced the ground to return the favour of keeping the childrens souls.

Extended Metaphor: like a regular metaphor, an extended metaphor looks to draw on ht shared figuration characteristics of two concepts in order to extend the device, you should consider how language connotations, smiles metaphors and other devices combine throughout a piece to continually convey the shared characteristics
